Man, oh man! Days like today remind me why I got into the beauty biz. It's freezing out, the world has been drowned in snow and my poor defenseless skin needs some TLC. I took a bath and soaked in some of BeautiControl's Detox Bath Soak and then after shoveling snow for LITERALLY two hours-- seriously. TWO HOURS.-- Mama needs a hand treatment. When I wake up in the morning, I absolutely DO NOT #wakeuplikethis. Mornings are not my time ofday but since the world does not often bend itself to my will, the AM hours are a neccesary evil.  I'm a fan of keeping my morning routine simple and to the point. That New York Times article was right. Sometimes you really need more than a selfie. Makeup artists and photographers have a natural alliance. So when Richmond, Virginia photographer, Sean DeWitt, told me that he had a model shoot, I saw this as a perfect opportunity to exercise my makeup artistry.
